About

Embracing Creativity

through Music & Yoga

Having always played music from a young age, Joanne focused on voice as her main instrument when she studied at USC’s Thornton School of Music. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2007.

While at USC, she was an active member of various ensembles, including the contemporary a cappella group USC Reverse Osmosis, and the USC Trojan Marching Band and Concert Band as an instrumentalist.

From 2004 to 2018 she fronted LA-based indie reggae band Penny Reel as the singer and main songwriter. Known for her smooth vocals and ear for harmonizing, Joanne has been called upon by many notable bands to stack some tasty harmonies on collaborative tracks, as well as some commercial jingles.

More recently, Joanne has expanded her vocal offerings to include various types of voiceover work, after she began recording guided meditations for several of her yoga students.

Aside from music, movement has also been a consistent creative outlet for Joanne throughout the years, beginning with dance and now focusing on yoga. Joanne completed more than 500 hours of training and obtained her teaching certificate through Multi Style Yoga International.

Joanne began teaching yoga in 2019 in person, and transitioned to mainly online instruction since 2020. She offers many styles of classes to fit her clients’ specific and diverse needs.
